Overview: Section 4A.2 of S.L. 2024‑53 allows a student to enroll in a charter school located in an area affected by Hurricane Helene for the 2025‑2026 school year without reapplying to the school if the student was enrolled at the charter school during the 2024‑2025 school year but withdrew due to the impacts of the hurricane.
This section became effective October 25, 2024.
