Overview: Section 3J.19 of S.L. 2024‑57 allows college developmental mathematics and developmental reading and English curriculums in the immediate preceding summer of the high school senior year, as well as the senior year, to provide for opportunities for college remediation for students prior to high school graduation.
This bill was vetoed by the Governor on November 26, 2024, and that veto was overridden by the General Assembly on December 11, 2024. The section of the act became effective December 11, 2024.
