Overview: Section 2A.9 of S.L. 2024‑57 broadens the pool of potential appointees to the board of directors of the State Education Assistance Authority to include those individuals who have experience as a chief financial officer or chief administrative officer of a nonpublic school that enrolls students receiving opportunity scholarship funds, rather than only those individuals who serve as a chief financial officer or chief administrative officer of such a school at the time of appointment.
This bill was vetoed by the Governor on November 26, 2024, and that veto was overridden by the General Assembly on December 11, 2024. This section of the act became effective July 1, 2024.
