Overview: Section 40.2 of S.L. 2026-41 (Senate Bill 257) requires the Department of Information Technology to obtain approval before making any change in rates for the Internal Service Fund from the General Assembly through enactment of a general law. The Internal Service Fund provides information technology services to agencies on a cost-recovery basis, and the rates must be consistent, fully transparent, easily understandable, and must reflect industry standards.
