Overview: Section 43.25 of S.L. 2026‑41 (Senate Bill 257) requires the Department of Transportation (Department) to study the effectiveness and implementation of synchronized streets. The term "synchronized streets" means a street where traffic signals are coordinated to allow vehicles to move through multiple intersections with minimal stops. By July 1, 2027, the Department shall report the findings to the Joint Legislative Transportation Oversight Committee and the Fiscal Research Division.
