Overview: Section 43.11 of S.L. 2026-41 (Senate Bill 257) authorized the Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to implement a pilot program within Forsyth County to provide in‑home license renewal services. However, Section 11.1 of S.L. 2026-61 (House Bill 268) repealed this section and replaced the pilot program authorization with a study evaluating the feasibility of the pilot program.
