Overview: Section 4 of S.L. 2026-46 (House Bill 1094) authorizes the Division of Motor Vehicles to provide an unredacted copy of a crash report, by secure electronic means, to a person directly involved in the crash. Currently, a person may only get an unredacted copy of the crash report for a permissible use in person at one of two State-run Division offices or by mail.
This section became effective July 7, 2026.
