Overview: Section 50 of S.L. 2026-59 (Senate Bill 445) authorizes the Residential Code Council to adopt temporary rules amending the 2018 and 2024 North Carolina Residential Code after the Residential Code Council is fully constituted.
This section became effective August 11, 2026, and expires two years after the date the Residential Code Council is fully constituted.
