Overview: Section 12.22 of S.L. 2026-41 (Senate Bill 257) allows the chair of the Environmental Management Commission (EMC) to use the Temporary Solutions Program to obtain new temporary employees. It also permits EMC to contract with private or public entities for studies or projects that the chair of EMC deems necessary to improve efficiency in adopting rules to protect water and air resources.
This section became effective July 1, 2026.
