S257 - 2026 Appropriations Act. (SL 2026-41)

Overview: Section 5.10(b2) of S.L. 2026-41 (Senate Bill 257), as amended by Section 1.7(c) of S.L. 2026-61 (House Bill 268), allows the Local Government Commission to adopt temporary rules, as necessary, to implement the provisions related to Commission membership and requires the Commission to adopt permanent rules to replace any temporary rules. Those temporary rules must remain in effect until permanent rules that replace those rules become effective.
This subsection, as amended, became effective August 11, 2026.
