H268 - 2026 Budget Technical Corrections - II. (SL 2026-61)

• Provides that any unconfirmed Governor's Cabinet appointment made in a legislative biennium expires upon the earlier of the end of that biennium or the General Assembly's adjournment sine die.
• Prohibits reappointment of an unconfirmed individual during the Governor’s term of office and requires the unconfirmed individual to vacate the position.

This section became effective August 11, 2026, and applies beginning with appointments made during the 2025-2026 legislative biennium.
