H1094 - Ferry Division Audit/Department of Transportation Omnibus. (SL 2026-46)

Overview: Section 1 of S.L. 2026-46 (House Bill 1094) requires the Office of the State Auditor to conduct a performance audit of the Ferry Division of the Department of Transportation. This audit must include an evaluation of the Division's spending and budget practices, its operations and long-term strategies to maximize revenue and reduce costs, potential route and schedule adjustments, and options to diversify revenue. The State Auditor must submit a report to the Joint Legislative Transportation Oversight Committee and the Fiscal Research Division no later than January 15, 2027.
