Overview: Section 9J.11 of S.L. 2026-41 (Senate Bill 257) requires the Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Social Services, to provide a report to the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Health and Human Services and the Fiscal Research Division on the status of the foster care trauma-informed assessment (assessment) required by State law by September 1, 2026, and continuing every six months until the assessment is fully implemented Statewide.
This section became effective July 1, 2026.
