Overview: Section 3F.2 of S.L. 2024-57 repeals the Energy Policy Council and transfers one of its responsibilities to the Utilities Commission, to develop contingency and emergency plans to deal with possible shortages of energy to protect public health, safety, and welfare, and requires such plans to be compiled into an Emergency Energy Program.
This bill was vetoed by the Governor on November 26, 2024, and that veto was overridden by the General Assembly on December 11, 2024.
This section became effective December 11, 2024.
